Laure Redmond is a nationally recognized fitness
therapist (mind/body specialist), author and mind/body
consultant. Throughout her career she has remained
in the public eye through her regular appearances
on television and radio.
Laure’s first book – Feel Good Naked
– 10 No Diet Secrets to a Fabulous Body
was released in January 2002 by Fair Winds Press.
Laure currently gives Feel Good Naked speeches
and leads self-esteem workshops throughout the
United States, while also counseling individuals
one on one. She is the founder of Self Esteem
Saves You, a program designed for girls between
the ages of 11 and 15 years old. As a regular
guest on the Dr. Laura Berman Show, Laure consistently
address’ the challenging mind/body issues
that face both girls and women in today’s
culture.
Laure’s well being career began as an undergraduate
at The University of North Carolina where she
became a fitness instructor, teaching football
great Lawrence Taylor, among many others. Upon
graduating from UNC, Laure was hired to run New
York City’s prestigious Body Design By Gilda,
which she successfully did for ten years. Her
clients included luminaries: Helen Hunt, Andie
MacDowell, Mary Tyler Moore and Madonna.
Laure writes: “most women are obsessed with
their bodies, never happy with how much they weigh
or how they look.” Laure Redmond used to
be one of those women, paralyzed by female body
hatred, insecure and uncomfortable with her overweight
appearance. With self-motivation, her specially
designed 10-step program, and a few setbacks along
the way, Laure changed her perspective and her
appearance. She has spent the last twenty years
counseling other women with her unique 10-step
program that is designed to shed pounds easily
and naturally while building self-esteem through
self-empowerment.
Laure Redmond lives in Portland, Oregon with her
husband, her boxer dog and two stepsons.
