Dianne Neumark-Sztainer

Our keynote speaker, Dianne Neumark-Sztainer, has a PhD in Behavioral Sciences and Nutrition. Her interests focus on adolescent health and nutrition, as well as obesity and eating disorder prevention, health behavior change, and nutrition education programs. Dianne is currently a Professor at the University of Minnesota where she teaches in the School of Public Health.

Dianne's recently published book, "I'm, Like, SO Fat!": Helping Your Teen Make Healthy Choices about Eating and Exercise in a Weight Obsessed World, is the subject of of her keynote presentation Thursday evening.

Jonathan Robison, PhD MS, is currently an adjunct professor at Michigan State University and specializes in health promotion and Human Behavior. Jon is co-editor of the Health at Every Size Journal, and his most recent publication, Science of Holistic Health: More than broccoli, jogging and bottled water More than yoga, herbs and meditation, encourages many holistic approaches to health education and promotion.

Jon will be presenting a four hour workshop for health care professionals that focuses on the Health At Every Size (HAES) philosophy, using the non diet paradigms of the HUGS PROGRAM.  This workshop is offered Friday morning OR Saturday afternoon.  His keynote address for the professional audience, Low Carb, Low Fat, Normal Eating... What's That?, will be on Friday afternoon.

For the public, Jon's presentation Low Carb, Low Fat, Normal Eating... What's That? will whet your appetite for a great Saturday menu. Professionals are entitled to attend this talk and all of the public presentations.
